Directions for travel

1) From Eurostar and Gare du Nord (recommended from London) :

At Gare du Nord station, take RER (fast metro) line E to “Haussmann St-Lazare”. Then follow signs to Gare SNCF Trains Grandes Lignes (long corridors and escalators – no problem if you have a trolley suitcase). Most trains from Gare St-Lazare go to Le Havre – all stop at Rouen RD. The recommended hotels are at most one minute from Rouen RD station.

2) From Charles-de-Gaulle airport (not recommended from London : you lose all the time you have gained on the plane in the RER or Roissybus). Allow at least one hour from the airport to Gare St-Lazare :

- RER B to “Gare du Nord”, then RER E to “Haussmann St-Lazare” (see above)
- or frequent direct bus to the Opera : Roissybus. Then walk (10 min. – no problem if you have a trolley suitcase) to Gare St-Lazare (see above). Better than the RER if the motorway is not jammed (avoid early morning).

3) By car from the Tunnel :

Rouen is signposted as you leave the Tunnel. Exit 13 (“Isneauville”) when you reach the outskirts of Rouen. Then Mont-Saint-Aignan is signposted, as well as Parc de la Vatine and the University when you reach Mont-Saint-Aignan.
